About this work:

This body of work is my attempt at visual alchemy by turning the lead of life into aesthetic gold. The image find an inherent beauty in things that do no seem attractive. The sources come from tornado aftermath pictures, and are resolved through editing and patterning.

These images are mixed media, and are the synthesis of painting and screenprinting. The tan is is raw canvas, and the various patterns are developed to enhance spatial development, through color theory, atmospheric perspective, and finish variations.
