My work is about synthesis. All great ideas are really just an amalgamation of previous ones. My images come from the same process. I take the visual onslaught of modern life to find bits that have aesthetic appeal and blend them together to create something beautiful.

I am frequently asked what kind of artist I am. The immediate answer is a painter. While I am proficient in multiple mediums, all of my work solves visual problems like a painting. However, the images on this site are not made from paint. Some of them may represent painted objects, but they are in reality created by pixels of light.

Due do this conundrum, the majority of work on this site are created by digital processes. If they are manifested actual objects, their appearance changes due to the shift from additive to subtractive color, actual textures, finish fluctuations, and hand-made marks. The overabundance of digital imagery creates a preciousness of real objects, and in order to see my work in this precious state, it must be seen in person.
